We are deligted to announce the winners of the 2024–2025 Cowper and Dresher prizes. The prizes are awared to the best paper in a graduate Syntax (Cowper) or Phonology (Dresher) course.
The winner of the Cowper Prize is Onyi Ezeamuzie, for the paper "Subject licensing in caseless languages: The case of Igbo"
The winner of the Dresher Prize is Xinyu Liao, for the paper "Tone-to-stress adaptation of Mandarin loanwords in English"
