Dr. Marshall Chasin awarded Richard Seewald Career Award

We are proud to report that Dr. Marshall Chasin, Doctor of Audiology, Adjunct Professor at U of T and Director of Auditory Research at the Musicians’ Clinics of Canada, has been awarded the Richard Seewald Career Award by the Canadian Academy of Audiology. 

Dr. Marshall Chasin is the author of over 200 articles and 8 books including Musicians and the Prevention of Hearing Loss and has also received the 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Award for service to Canada and the Canada 150 Medal in 2017. 

The Richard Seewald Career Award is awarded to recognize a career in research, clinical practice, teaching, and/or mentoring young people. The recipient of the award must have made significant contributions to the knowledge base, practice and/or teaching of audiology or a related field and have had a long-term professional career. 

For undergraduates interested in pursuing Audiology, Dr. Chasin will be hosting an event about Audiology as a career and further study on December 4, 2025 at 2pm in the Linguistics Lounge. Check the event post for more information!
