The Department of Linguistics is delighted to welcome auditors to our classrooms, space permitting.
Rules Governing Auditors:
- Auditing is subject to room space considerations and the course instructor’s and department’s approval. No auditors will be admitted to a course that is already full. For courses that are close to being full, no auditor can be enrolled until the last day has passed for student enrollment (September 15, 2025). No instructor is required to accept auditors, even if space is available.
- Auditing a course entitles you to attend lectures only. You may not submit any assignments, write examinations or tests.
- You will receive permission to access the course page on Quercus as an “Observer” and will be added manually by the instructor once the approval has been granted.
- The Department of Linguistics does not offer Certificates of Attendance
- The University's Code of Student Conduct will apply to auditors.
To check the full list of courses being offered by the Department of Linguistics, please consult the University's Timetable Builder tool.
