Anari is a member of the Pataxó people. She has been investigating the process of recovery of their language (a process started by the Pataxó people themselves; the language has been renamed “Patxohã").

This event is part of the Invited Speaker Series of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at UofT. This event is also supported by the Latin American Studies Program at UofT.

The talk will be in Brazilian Portuguese with slides in English and Brazilian Portuguese (Q&A also in English and Brazilian Portuguese).
