The Language Revitalization in Diaspora Project (Revitalización Lingüística en Diáspora), coordinated by Prof. Pedro Mateo Pedro, is offering a language immersion course designed to help participants learn to speak Kaqchikel or K'iche' while also learning about Guatemala and Mayan culture.
Classes will take place between June 6 and October 24, 2025 at Dodem Kanonhsa', 655 Bay St, 3rd Floor, Toronto, ON M5G 2K4, on Friday from 3pm to 5pm. This course is available at no cost.
The project is funded by the Faculty of Arts & Science Fund for Indigenous Research Excellence (FIRE) of the University of Toronto, in collaboration with Dodem Kanonhsa Centre.
